Govenor Tim Pawlenty signed an official proclamation declaring this day "Edgerton, Minnesota Basketball Day". Gov. Pawlenty chose this particular day because it was the 50th anniversary of Edgerton's 1960 boys basketball team winning the state title.

Southwest MN Christian High School defeats Ortonville to repeat as the Minnesota Boys Basketball Class A Champions.  They become the first Class A school to win the title four consecutive years in a row.

Southwest MN Christian High School defeats Christ's Household of Faith to repeat as the Minnesota Boys Basketball Class A Champions.

Southwest MN Christian High School defeats Hillcrest Lutheran Academy 63-50 to win the Minnesota Boys Basketball Class A Championship.

Aqua Lanes (team members Clyde DeBoer, Don Post, Virg VanHulzen, Dave VanStelton and Rick Fey) took the national title at the American Bowling Congress Championship in Louisville, Kentucky.
